Is this too much torque ?
I have a 68 Camaro I am dropping a 632 CI BBC into.
Motor Dynoed at 816Hp and 825 Ftlbs torque.
I know as a minimum I will need sub frame connectors
But do I need a cage?
Car will be street driven only, and saftey of a cage worries me (head trauma). So would prefer no cage, but don't want to twist it.
Other option is a full chassis
Ideas / comments ?

Even a full chassis will need a cage.

Hmmm, seems I may have no choice....may have to come up with a creative cage.....
03-17-2007 #6Head trauma?? Your head shouldn't be anywhere near the bars if it's built right and you need to wear proper belts.
I'd be more worried about hitting my face on the steering wheel.

I have a 68 camaro with a 540 with 760hp and 755tq--flywheel. I have a roll cage and as someone mentioned above if done right(see pic below) you will have nothing to worry about concerning your head as long as you are strapped in correctly. That kind of power you will need frame connectors and roll cage. Also make sure rearend and tranny are ready to for this power. I broke a tranny recently--just to much power but a ton of fun--nothing like displacment. Greg
