      67 GT Fastbackback update

      Hello all,
It's been a little bit since I've posted.
I finally got my wheels, I guess I went the easy way out and went with 17" torque thrusts with 235/45/17's and 275/40/17's BF Goodrich Sports.

Other progress includes a Keith Craft 408 stroker that should be built in 10-12 weeks, just in time for summer..

The car should really go with the new stroker..

Anyways here's some pics of the wheels/tires

P.S. I should really remove the blue dots on the tires huh?

Nice looking 67! My Dad and I used to have a 67 390GTA that looked just like it. It had white pony interior, upper and lower console with A/C. Ahhhhh what a great car. I miss that car. I still think they are one of the best looking cars you'll ever see. I do have to ask, what's up with the mud flaps on the rear? Your car looks too good to have those things on there.

      Haha,
That's funny you ask.. I used to have them held on with clips to make removal easy, but when I was racing the car the track didn't allow this. So I used a couple of the moulding trim screws to hold them on to prevent chipping on the quarters. I just haven't taken them off since

Wheels are 17x8 all the way around with 4.75" backspacing. I could have gone with the 9.5" width for the back but it would have been a little on the tight side, and it would have been a custom order and I didn't want to get into that..

Nice car... who doesn't love a dark green '67-'68 fastback? One word: Bullitt! In fact, in the spirit of Bullitt, I'd probably tone it down a bit and integrate it all a bit more. It's just a bit to busy for me with the polished wheels, chrome wheelwell trim, rocker moldings, rocker stripes, side mirrors, antenna, mudflaps, grille lamps, and traction bars.

Still, it's mighty tasty as is.
