We were going to drive it a bit.. just one problem.

I forgot to bleed the clutch

lol.. the trans wouldn't go into gear. Oh well, easy enough to do.

The guys at BEST OF SHOW COACHWORKS have been great and I couldn't have gotten to where I am now without their help. Terrific group of gearheads, even John ;)

That is one awsome ride, and an inspiration to me, and I'm sure alot of others here. You probably didnt spend that much more than some of us, just do the right things the right way and THAT is the result. Your eye for clean execution, color coordination, meticulous attention to detail are certainly beyond reproach.

Now I wanna see the video of that mean mamma jamma layin down 100' of rubber!!!

I've been trying to figure how much this car would cost to build if you did most of the assembly yourself and farmed out the normal stuff like paint, interior, fabrication and such. I think this car could be duplicated for $70k. Maybe $80k... not having an audio system, AC or heat saves money ;)

Funny, I once read that Stielow built the mule for $80k. I wish I could quote a source, not sure where I read it. Might have even been the PHR articles someone had scanned.

This mean there might be some room opening up in the shop for my car?

Looking good Rupp. Sucker'll sure be mean when its opened up!

Sounds wicked, Steve. Have you had a chance to have the PCM tuned on the chassis dyno?

If not, we'll be wanting a video of that too. I'm sure everyone would agree that we have GOT to hear the wonderful sound of that LS2 screaming bloody murder on a chassis dyno.

No chassis tune yet. Speartech got it in the ballpark and the E38 is pretty adept at tuning itself to some degree. The chassis dyno will be in a couple weeks. Oh, and there will be video

Normally I would use the Muffler Man. However, the car is 80 miles away in San Mateo so I'm using a place called Wagners Performance in Oceanside. It's close and they do excelent work. The whole system will be flanged so I can get it coated easily.
