      hey shannon,
arent the pieces reversed on the chevelles? The lock is on the trunk lid along with the mechanism, and the latch is attached to the actual body in the trunk?
Are you coming out with a seperate kit for this? If so how long till you expect it to be released?
      Thanks! Great idea!

Yes, the Chevelles are reversed like you stated. Latch and key in the trunk lid and the catch is in the body.

      Yes,
I am going to be doing a kit for the Chevelles. I have a friend with a 71 Malibu but he is not keen on me cutting into his trunk lid to make space for the electric latch. The latch we use is about 1" thick were the factory latch is around 1/2" thick. This is the reason for having to cut the lid a bit.
As for a time frame, I really don't know, issues with the lid (finding a doner to cut on) and issues with different year models on the catch side of the deal.

just picked up the May issue of "Camaro Performers" and read a nice piece titled "Easy Access". It is about Steve Rupp's install of our latch in "Penny"

Thanks for the nice article Steve, you are the man.

Very cool! I picked it up yesterday myself. Congrats on the story. I hope you sell a boatload of them!

No problem, I will be doing stuff for CP each month now.

They also raised the magazine to 8 times a year and will soon be doing subscriptions.

It will be getting better each month.

Nice latch and easy as pie to install...

Good, I am glad to hear about the subscriptions. I signed up about 2 yrs ago and finally called and got the word that it wasn't going to happen then.

Shannon, Do you guys have anything in the works for the Mustang guys? After reading this thread I would love to have something like this for my 67. Come on! Not every modified is a Camaro! The Mustang crowd is still stuck in Stock-land so I understand if this kit isn't a priority.

Not to highjack the thread, but
can somebody tell me how to wire it so it operates like an OEM installed item?
I think those you can only pop the truck in park or neutral, almost like it's wired through the neutral safety switch.

Besides that I think it's great, now I have to go find the May issue!!!

Yes pedals are available from MODO for early Mustangs. They were released earlier this year. You can get them from Shannon, or purchase them through my online store.

I have the pedals and they are great. I am talking about the remote trunk release?
