How does this cam wear look?

This CompCam has a few hours on it after sitting for years waiting for the car to be paroled from paint prison. Looks alright to me but I thought I would post B4 throwing the new intake on. Anything to be concerned about? I did rotate and all lobes look similar.
      Thanks
      Dan

Looks OK, just make sure it's a lobe not just round, the Nova ate a cam but it was Comps fault, and they sent me a new one,

I've been hearing about phosporus additives being eliminated from motor oils. These additives are needed to keep the cam lobes and lifters from destroying each other.
Supposedly Rotella (for diesels) still has these additives, I'd run it.

Looks normal to me from the pic but as was mentioned by Steve68 I would check the all of the lobes by turning it by hand or bumping it with the starter just to make sure the rest of the lobes looked ok.

It started as a restoration.......well, we are all in that same boat.

Seemed like a good grind for the numbers matching block, I think I should concentrate on stopping and turning now.

If I had my druthers go buy a few pakckets of moly lube and pull all the lifters and re lube them and treat the engine as a new build, use shell Rotella T 15W40 for the first few thousand miles.
when I use moly lube I keep 2 cheap oil filters handy and use one for start up, keep it up above 2000 rpm for 15 to 30 minutes and get it up t ooperating temp as a lot of anti wear additives in the oil also bond better at OT. Then swap out a new cheap oil filter. Top off the oil and drive it 1000 to 2000 then add another change of Shell. Both times use a bottle of the Comp Cams break in additive.
Any time an engine sits a long time treat it like its a new engine if at all possible.
Oh and it looks ok. So far.
