Power Tour: Anyone planning a group trip?

I know there are a couple Power Tour threads, but haven't seen any group arrangements. I really want to make it on the power tour this year, but don't want to do it alone. I will most likely not have a passenger which isn't really a big deal. My main concern is hotel accomodations, car security, and help if there are any problems along the road.



Let me know if there is a group already in planning or if someone has something similar in mind. I would assume hotel reservations start to fill quickly.

I have two cars so far for the long haul. We are leaving from Nashville on the afternoon of the 2nd. I would be willing to join up with a larger group or lead the way.

Stealth, there was a group deal last year but haven't heard of any so far. How's the caprice tank I sold you (on LS1Tech)? Any problems getting it in? I just reserved my rooms last week for the whole thing. The hardest place to fill was at the Racine, WI event. It would be cool to have another group go this year, I can keep up with everyone (had suspension probs the whole way).

Stealth we will be long hauling from Fort Myers Fl. We will be leaving on may 31 st. to take our time to cleveland. Made our motel reservations last monday. Your welcome to join us i believe we have 3 cars going at this time.If you know of others that would like to join in that's cool you know the power of numbers lol.

IIRC, Lisa & Frank (GP Superstore, Pordigy) ran a group deal. Have not heard about this year.

LOL! Wake up at 7, have breakfast, hit the road, drive 250 miles, get to venue, do a car show for a couple hours, see the midway again, check in new hotel, dinner, drinks, bed, up at 7, breakfast, hit the road, drive 250miles, ..............................................
I am not putting a group together this time, to many no shows and people that dodged pitching in on security as promised. Made it very expensive for the rest of us. We are not ruling out going, we have talked to some vendors about going. If we go we will tag along with what ever group you guys get together.

I made hotel reservations for our group a few weeks ago. Most of the hotels were booked; I had to resort to hotels that were a little further away from the venue. I wouldn't waste anymore time.

i'm gonna make the leg out of racine, but the duster is going to be on the trailer. maybe next time powertour comes through the area it will be a runner.
