Lock Bumping!! Must Read!
Well I saw something a little concerning to me today. Im sure many of you already know about this but I am sure there are many out there like me that have not heard about this.
It is a technique theives are using called "LOCK BUMPING" and it works on about 95% of locks out there. It involves taking a key that fits into a lock but will not turn the lock to open. (I know many of us have done that thinking we had the right key) Well I guess if you take a screwdriver handle and lightly tap and bump the key it WILL OPEN THE DOOR!! It is all over YOU TUBE under LOCK BUMPING and it is causing quite a stir all over the news. One show did a number on it and asked the local police to comment on it but they refused to do so. I guess there are only a couple of lock makers out there that this technique will not work on. I know if someone wants to break in bad enough they will find a way. Especially if they are professionals, but this method allows any crack head or teen age punk an easy way in a locked door. Oh BTW it works on DEAD BOLTS TOO.
