      New guy from Sweden

      Hi everybody
Living in Stockholm, Sweden . This is a presentation of my -75 Nova i´ve been modifying for better handling the past 2 years.
I bought it 5 years ago and completly restored it with new paint and engine, a moderate 300-brake-hp smallblock with a 350 trannie.
      Some of the modifies on the chassi so far;
      FRONT:
Polyurethan bushing everywhere in front suspension
      Boxed lower control arms
      Solid aluminum bushing between body/frame
Stock front disc brakes with Hawk race pads w. homemade brakecooling, a 2" hose connected too a custom aluminum brake duct.
      Carrera adjustable shocks
      1" sway bar
      Camaro 12:1 steering box
      REAR:
Stock 2:73 rear end, not optimal for acceleration but it works ok on race track, when the car is already rollin...
      Modified leafsprings with Nylon bushings
      Gabriel gasshocks

I am running the car as often i can (afford..) on open trackdays, equipped with 17" R- tyres for the day.
The combination of running 2:73 , autogearbox and moderate 300hp is working surprisingly well.

My goal this winter is too rebuild the engine, trying too give it 50-70 hp more.

      Nice car..

Keep us posted on your modifications.

I too have a X-Body Nova that I would like to convert back into something that will handle decent..

Can you please let me know your wheel and tire sizes
      (with backspacing if possible)

I just got mine about a month ago now and have dropped in a new motor, but it has the wrong wheel and tire combo, along with the wrong suspension set up right now

      But I got it CHEAP!

Hi Andreas think i´ve seen your car too.
      About tire sizes:
(I def. need too get hold on one of those cowl induction hoods like yours!!´ COOL!)
Right now i´m ridin 17*8 rims front and rear with 0 backspacing rear and 20 in front. Tires are 225/45*17 both front and rear.
0 backspacing is a bit too much for my car because the tires are rubbing agianst. I´m in the search of new rims and i will go for maybe 15-25 backspacing with 9" wide rims in rear . Front works perfect as they are.

Must make a small update here... (is this the rigth place??)
New engine bulit for the car, and new brake pads . Going for Hawk Blue. Works very well.
I finally got a small camera on board when i was was testing it at a local racetrack, Sviestad. Its only about 2.2km long but its close too home home so...
This day i had too race with very slippery tires in the front, old ****, i problably would have run a couple of secs faster if i had better tires on. New tires have been bought today.
Here is a short clip (low quality)

Thanks for sharing the clip. Car was sounding good.

While I realize you have an automatic it really seemed like the shifting was not optimal for you.

Welcome! That's a nice looking 'Disco' Nova you've got there. Always nice to see yet another Nova on the forum. I have a friend with a '77 Rallye Nova with the factory F40 suspension package and it handles like it's on rails. Here are a couple pics of his Disco:

Hehe... its still a nearly stock th350 so im still surprised it holds together. Didnt think it would survive 3 years of track driving...
