We got around 7-10 mpg depending on the fuel grade, and the altitude which was causing havoc with our car's performance. The engine is a behemoth and thirsty as all heck.
Ill second what Mike said, for the most part everyone was very cool on the show. The Bama boys were real good guys same with the Nissan guys, the Mexicans were hilarious the whole time, so much is being lost to the editing room floor that its really a shame. We traveled along the coast during sunset and saw some of the most amazing vistas that I have ever seen...none of that is being shown. We and the Lambo team tore up the twisties right before hitting the racoon like it was our last day on earth...cut out as well. Team Lambo said that they could not believe how well the Hurst handled and how he was unable to shake us or make us come unglued. In part due to the tires suggested hear on Pro-Touring.com!!! Thanks again guys!
The Mosler is owned by the owners of Bullrun, the SSC is owned by SSC compnay and I guess they were there for puiblicity, they are two completely different cars. The Mosler looks almost like the Lotus, the SSC is about the size of a Diablo, but is even wider than the Murcielago, it uses a Corvette racing engine.
We are all clearly being shaped to the viewers by the editing.
