      hydroboost problems

      guys i need some help;
      i just installed my hydroboost system. the unit is from abs power brake,
      the problem that i am having is that when we attempted to bleed the rear right caliper the fluid would not come out with pressure. this is after about twenty minutes of trying. then we tried it with the car on and we got the same low pressure, and also the lines that run from the hydro to the power steering pump would get hot (is it suppost to?)
      please help me
      vince

      Hot lines

      I was just on Htdratech's website and they do say that it is normall for the lines to get hot during operation as for the line pressure problem i don not know how to help. May be you might have a clog in the line on a kink in the line.

      Is there a chance you have the line from the p/s pump to the hb and the line from the hb to the steering gear reversed?

      I did that to the one on my Blazer and after looking at my El Camino a few times I finally realized I had the lines backward! I swapped them and voila, I had brakes!

      Car on/off will have no effect on being able to bleed the system. It can and should be bled with the engine off.

      The power steering feed/return lines will get warm if the engine is running.

      Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?

      I agree with the above. Either the wrong/bad/incorrectly bled master cylinder.

      Vince, I bought my master cylinder from Baer. It was what they sold me. It still did not work. I had the same bleeding problems. I talked to Paul at Hydratech, switched MC and 10 minutes later all is good.
