guys don't miss overhaulin tonight, they have a special epsidoe first with a lookback at past projects and then lance armstrongs build, the lookback episode is cool as it is at irwindale raceway, using the cars, very cool, they also drag them at the 18/th mile strip.
foose was in his own 69 camaro which by the way had a killer stance, anyone have any info or specs on it?? don't miss it, tlc

Those cars were sweet looking. Foose does one hell of a job when it comes to design work!
It was nice to see the owners racing the cars and doing burnouts. But, DAMN were those cars slow. The quickest one ran a 9.25 in the 1/8, at around 78 mph? Some of them were running 10 second 1/8 mile times. That means none of them were even in the 13s.
Hard to believe, since most of them had brand new donated "high performance" crate engines and performance parts on them.

Seemed to me most of them didn't know how to drive them. I'm thinking at least 2 of the cars had a LOT more potential. Looked like the super charged Monte had an open rear end under it due to the one wheel burnout.
It did appear they were more show than go, but in the hands of an experienced driver that perception may be different.Drew H.

Yes it really was great to see them smoking the tires. Especially at the end with Chip in his Camaro and his friend in his Chevelle. I'm glad Chip went down the track a 2nd time because it looked like the reaction time could have been better as was the 2nd run. He still had traction problems as well. None the less some good TV!
69 Camaro w/LS1. Start date April 2002, completion date June 2013. But it will be well worth it!

Reaction time has nothing to do with ET. The timer starts when the car moves.

I think alot had to do with the tires they were running. I dont think any of those cars had anythign smaller then 18's. It was sweet seeing what they could do.

Plus all those crate engines were donated mostly from Edelbrock and were probably the entry level Performer engines which are rated at about 310 horsepower. I doubt Vic is going to pull his top of the line engines off the shelf and just give them away. I wouldn't do that. They were lucky to get whatever he was giving them, and he was very generous to do it.

its a shame the 442 and the challenger wasnt there...
i know the story about the 442, but the challenger is my fav one.pain is nothing compared to the emptiness that comes from quitting.
