      One Lucky winner!!

They buried a brand new 1957 Plymouth in 1957, to be unearthed this year 2007. They had a contest to guess the population in Tulsa in 2007. One Lucky person who got close to the answer will win the car.

They're gonna take it out of the ground?

Didn't any of those fools watch Christine?

      Hahahaha from that article:

The car's glove compartment contains two other interesting items: a parking ticket (unpaid!) and a boftle of tranquilizers. Depending an the Belvedere's condition, the tranquilizers may be the most important part of the package.

that's going to be an exciting day if you ask me! To be able to see something so pure and untouched over 50 years would be really cool.

I'll be interested to see how well it's concrete tomb held up over the 50 years. If there are no cracks in it (which is highly unlikely) then it will be in good condition. However, if there are some cracks then it's a safe bet that water got in there and it could get ugly. What a neat story though. I'll be sure to bookmark this event so I can watch.

That would be funny if the car is gone. And why a Plymouth. A nice 57 Chevy Bel Air would have been better in my opinion.

Why a plymouth,??? Because its Tulsa Oklahoma. I just hope one of my grand parents bought a ticket and guessed right!! Who knows maybe I could be the next owner of the 1957 Plymouth rust bucket!! With the weather right now in Tulsa that thing is probably frozen solid!!

It would have been impossible to steal it. It was buried in front of a municipal building in plain view of the entire town.

Of course...they could have tunneled from underneath.

I'm going to have to agree with Chet in that moisture probably bleed through the concrete and has been wrecking havoc these past 50 years.

Christine in the movie was infact a dressed up Belvedere. They couldnt find a Fury in time so they cloned one.

besides the concrete vault, they wrapped it in "Styrolene" and it looks like pumped the vault full of foam aswell or something.
