      Fuel injection plumbing Suggestions

Im getting ready to begin plumbing for fuel injection. The system will be a single plane manifold with wilson rails and a #6 cross over in front. I already have an a-1000 pump with all the filters and a #10 feed line and a #8 return line runing up to the engine compartment with a carburated regulator. I know I need to change the regulator, does the feed line go direct into the passenger side rail and through both rails then into the supply side of the regulator, plugging the other port on the regulator? Then the bypass port runs the return line back to the tank. I really dont want change all these lines I already have installed in the car, will they work to achieve the necessary pressure? Any suggestions on plumbing would be great, also where is the best place to mount a pressure guage and is it ok to have it there permenently?

      Thank Rich

I prefer to split the feed into both rails and use the outlet of each rail to the regulator. I use the Aeromotive Pro Series regulator which have the 1/8" NPT port to mount a small pressure gauge directly to it.

Thanks Dennis- one more question, how is the return line routed coming out of the bottom of your regulator. I cant really see it, is it between the water pump and the timing cover(long style water pump)?

Actually it wasn't finished in that pic. Nothing behind the pump (belt drive!) I ran the return out the bottom w/ a 90* hose end and towards the driver side and had a clamp on one of the front head. Works well. Good Luck!

It's not a Chevy, but you can see how I did mine toward the middle of this page: http://john.my67.net/engine1.htm

I used the same routing and regulator as 64deuce.
