      Wife's new ride...

      Hi all,

I thought I'd post a few pics of my wife's new ride, a '07 Mustang GT with the Ca Special package, 5 speed of course. She's been wanting something new for a while and since it was her b-day, she got what she wanted!

There's nothing wrong with being different?

According to the brochure, it's 300.

Ford sells an over the counter performance kit that includes a high flow air intake, mufflers, and fuel calibration, which is supposed to add 20 rear wheel hp. I may have to get her that.

Very nice, but didn't want to wait for the Shelby GT-H?

I'm really partial to those, aside from the Shelby GT500.

Actually, I ordered a standard Grabber Orange GT but it got held up in quality control for some reason and Christmas and her birthday came and went and it still wasn't here. This particular car showed up on the lot about two days before her birthday and we went to look at it and ended up buying it. We get the A plan price so out the door it was only $27k. I'm sure the Hertz car is a little pricier. She's extremely happy with it so I guess I did ok.

My local dealer had a GT/CS just like that. I thought they looked tacky in the brochures and pictures, but it looks great in person!

These new Mustangs are really nice. I test drove a low mile '01 Bullitt and it was no comparison. It's going to be a tough choice between the new Challenger and the Bullitt edition Mustang they're supposed to be coming out with in '08!

I can comfortably put the odds on the Mustang though..the Challenger is probably going to be overweight and much more expensive.

My wife and I have to agree that in the brochure, the hood/side scoops did look tacky. Once we saw it sitting there in front of us at the dealership, it looked a lot better, more aggresive than without.

I must say though, the one I ordered looks pretty cool too. It's got the same wheels as ours, but no scoops or stripes, and it's orange with all black interior. Had it come in when it was supposed to, I'm sure we would have been just as happy to have it.
