thats because you have a girlfriend now. LOL!@!@ 3 in the last week but 17 in the last 40 days. It felt a lot stronger than the 3.7 reported, I think we might be on old land fill....and yes I was still on the computer typing! LOL

This week in my neck of the woods got around a 3.0. That's big for East Tennessee.

There are two schools of thought on the little quakes. Neither of course is proven to be true.

a) The little quakes relieve tension along a fault thus mitigating a huge buildup of pressure that is relieved by "the big one".

b) The little quakes are a sign that there IS a big buildup that is just about to release.

The funny thing is that geologic records indicate that neither, and both are true.

That sort of thing doesn't happen much around here. The last time we had any kind of siesmic activity in my area I didn't feel a thing. It did sound like a big rig just drove past our house though.
I would love to experience a good sized quake, but would obviously want to be out in an open area. Hey, saftey first!
