Nova intercooler?
Does anyone have a 68-72 Nova with a front mount intercooler, and would you e-mail/post pics?
Thanks, Steve

It is a real tight fit between the core supt. and grill, just wondering if anyone has some ideas.
Thanks, Steve
12-23-2006 #3I have a set of twin intercoolers for sale that might fit behind the grill, one on each side of the support.
Pictured here with the D1SC kit I am selling.
Did you do any measuring??

I measured in the past and decided to install an air/water setup which cooled the charge well, but ended up leaking around 18psi. I would like to use a air/air, but I will probably have to fab a new core supt. and move the rad. back some-basically have an intercooler as my core supt.!
I thought I saw someone's Nova on this site with a Treadstone cooler and was hoping to find more info.
Thanks, Steve

Your best option may be to mock-up what you can fit and have it built to your specs. I can get you some of the core sizes available and you can go from there.
You'll be 3 1/2 or 4 1/2" thick and would need to decide on vertical or horizontal flow. I still prefer a water to air setup anyday. We build them now for street and strip by having an ice resevoir and a heat exchanger.Dennis
