      remote starter solenoid with mini starter

      hey everyone looking to start my total rewire of my 69 camaro with ls1. and like the mad electrical start`em up kit to put batt in trunk, will the remote solenoid work with the mini starter. had some people say it won`t work with mini starter. can`t get mark from mad electrical on the phone. any help mike

      I used the Summitt kit, mounts battery in the trunk, remote solenoid on the firewall, and I used a TCI Mini starter, with a Exide gell cell battery, works real good with the new battery, Look at MAD's web site they have a diagram, and the a copper jumper that goes on the starter for the remote solenoid, HTH,

      That should work fine with a mini-starter...

      i talked to mark at mad electrical. he said he was not sure about the stock mini starter for that year (99 ls1) if it was a permanent magnet starter (lost) he sent me info on how to wire it. will have to c what he sent me mike

      Why are you running a mini starter with a LS1, not really needed, I think,

      its the starter that was on the engine when i got it. its the stock gm starter for an ls1. the engine only had 1400 mi on it. its mini to me compared to the starter on my 67 chevelle lol mike

      Ok I understand usually when someone says mini we/I think of a Jap gear starter, like a TCI and everyone else that puts there name on one,
