      source for American Autowire

I'm looking to purchase a harness to wire up a 67 camaro from American Autowire. What are some good dealers?

Is it true the system is for the most part compleetly plug and play? I'm looking for a rock solid product that wont have any problems.

Rob, we install the Classic Update and other AAW harnesses in a lot of the cars we build, www.prodigycustoms.com, you will see a few Camaro projects using AAW products in the current projects section. We have been using AAW exclusivly for 15 years. We sell a lot of them through our GPSuperstore.com and they are a trouble free product for us. They are truly plug and play, and provide many additional circuits we need for these Pro Touring cars. Also between AAW tech and our own hands on knowledge, we can talk you through most anything.

how does the aaw kit compare to the painless system. Im looking for a night and day differance if you know what i mean... ive wired a few vehicles with the painless kit... but i feel like there should be a more complete kit produced.

One sucks, the other doesn't. Any questions, LOL!

Seriously, the AAW kit is made for your car, Painless is not. And BTW, AAW has original GM blueprints and makes all the concourse reproduction original harnesses, so they know what it takes.

Rob, It really depends on what type of build your doing in order to get you the right kit.
If your building a car that will retain its original instruments and you are just upgrading some of the componants. Then yes the classic update will fit your needs.
On the other hand if you car building a custom car.Smooth fire wall aftermarket guages.you get the picture.I would suggest using a highway 15 or 22 depending on how many circuit's you need.
      Both are great products.

I figured when you said plug and play that was what you were looking for. I love the Hwy series also, but they are anything but "plug and play"

You have to join GPSuperstore.com with us. It is 100% free and puts you in a buying club, so you will be able to get the best price. We just figured it up tonight, last week on all our GPs we saved $6700 for members over the best prices were know! Come on over and check out a new way to buy. We are past our minumum with AAW and ship on order.
