      Eliminating Steering Column Auto Shifter

Got a TKO 600 for the Nova and want to change out the auto shift collar on the column while I am doing the swap. I realize I can probably remove the boss and fill and paint but does anyone sell just a new collar? Searching the forum and Google has been futile thus far. Thanks,
      Dave

I have seen them cut off and filled with Duraglass, holds up a long time. Don't know where to find a collar.

floor shift columns pop up on ebay pretty often if you're patient. A column can be swapped out anytime, no reason to rush and do something you won't be happy with down the road.

Got a PM and a phone number for a guy south of Dallas, TX who rebuilds these columns as an everyday business. He is shipping me the correct collar for $35. I have his number should anyone ever need anything like this. Thanks for the info guys!

      FYI
Onmy 72 blazer tilt i just ground it down and used jb weld (epoxy) to put a thin strip behind the hole and filled the hole as well w JB weld'
Smoothed it and finished with light skim of bondo and spot putty to fill the rest of the little imperfections Wala one non colum shift tilt
      It actually looks very clean
I also added flaming river shortie stainless tilt and turn levers
They work perfect for the smaller than stock steering wheels
