Haneline Guages

I've been looking for another way to put a full compliment of gauges in the dash bezel of a first gen. There are posts for 5" guage installs but the other important gauges must be fabbed into the center or console area. At www.haneline.com there is listed a 5" three-in-one set that puts everything in front of you and looks sharp too. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the matter?

I never heard of them but it's an interesting idea. With their 3 in1's we could put 6 gauges in the two pod openings. I'm not crazy about the look though, reminds me of something inside an airplane. And they look like they'd be tough to read.

Sorry about the bad url...corrected this morning. I guess it does look a little like a cockpit. Maybe that's why it appeals to me as I used to be a military pilot. I like all the info on my direct field of view.

I just bought the Auto meter Designer Black 5 in one. I looked at the Haneline but thought the autometer was cleaner looking. the cars and auto with an MSD rev limiter so the tach is not a top priority right now. I'm waiting for my new carrier to arrive so I can install them. I'll post some pics next week.

You might also want to take a look at the Classis Instruments gauges. They have a similar setup, and one thing I like about their gauges is that they don't have the name brand written so prominently on the gauge face. Just my $.02.

My carrier just came in. The Designer Black series seem to fit the carrier better than most people describe installing the Sport Comp. They fit all the way snug and I didn't have to do any modification. Let me know what you think.

I like it, but I'm going to need a tach. I'm not going to have a radio so maybe I can stick a few in there. Where are you putting you turn signals?

Most people on the Camaro forum drill a small hole and use green LED's from radioshack. Its a clean install. For the Tach I'm working on building a small fiberglass console to pretty up my B&M shiifter. I'm going to mold a 3&5/8 tach angled up towards the driver.

Whoever made the comment about Haneline looking like it belongs in a plane is correct because that's where they originated from. They approached us about 9 years ago to carry there stuff. Great quality from what I remember.
