Where to pass battery cables through firewall

In relocating my battery to the trunk I now need to route the cables. This is with a stock (not smoothed) firewall. What locations have been used to route the cables through? I have the DSE kit with the bulkhead connector but the heater box seems in the place I'd want to use! Thanks much.

When I did the Nova I routed them on the underside of the car, went through 2 holes already there,

On my '99, I routed them on the underside as well then entered the trunk well from the bottom.

What about running them under the sill plates? There is a little galley there that appears to be a decent enough spot.

I plan on running them in that tray. I'm interested in what spot people have chosen to go through the firewall in to the engine comparment.

Inside the car where pass. floor meets firewall(floor turns 90 degree for about 1 1/2") closer towards trans tunnel. This location is closest to the starter on engine compartment side(and out of site)

Yeah, what he said. That's what I did on mine. Pictures aren't the best, but here they are...

On "Shop Beater" we ran them under the Sills in the little valley. Then ran them out the firewall where the subframe mount is at the base of the firwwall. We drilled to 3/4 holes put in a gromet, lines through then seam sealed around the lines. Then attached to subframe and up to alternator

This would be behind the right kickpanel for routing?
