Well, several months later, not much new but did pick up a few parts and as of a week ago I got the motivation to start cutting up some sheet metal again. Got the trunk floor and inner rear fender wells cut out, just about ready to replace. Just need to smooth and prep the frame rails to accept the new full trunk floor...

Also picked up a alum. radiator and electric fan to add to the front end along with a set of rear brakes to match the front.

Scott, still considering some BMW wheels... sounds like they'll work out ok.

I hear that Tony, and the reason why I procrastinated so long on starting on the body...

...and here's a couple updates. Got the trunk floor fit and screwed into place along with both rear inner fender wells. Hoping to have them welded in next weekend. Have my rocker section close to being fit, but needs a little more messaging for it to be ready to be welded in.

If anybody see's anything out of wack here, let me know, I'd rather catch it now!

Darrin, would absolutly love to mini tub... but when I figure in the extra cost of the mini tub kit, wider wheels and tires, that's half the cost of a good LS1 motor/tranny setup. Money I'd rather save to put somewhere else. I can deal with 1.25" less tire width in the rear. If I had more funds available I'd do it.... no body expert here by any means either lol, just learning as I go. I've never done body work before.

Good to see you're keeping the faith Buddy. LOL!!! DON'T SELL IT.

By the way, it was nice meeting you at Woodward. I wish we could have hung out more but I got out there so late. I only stayed another hour after you left. Hope to see you up here for Autorama in March next year.

Thanks guys, still trying to plug along the best I can...

Finally picked up a motor... A 6.0 LQ4 long block. The truck it was in was in a fire, motor looked pretty grubby when I got it... but sure was resonable $$. Had the block blasted this past week and got some block paint on it. Have a L76 intake coming and my 90mm FAST cable TB got here just the other day. Also plan on L92 heads and Autokraft oil pan.

Also have a T56 tranny, freshly rebuilt, that I have setup to buy. So I will have that soon as well.

Here's right after I picked it up....

      Congratulations on the score!
Love the idea of the L-76 intake & L-92 heads.

Buddy, I recently finished building an LS2 with the heads and intake you are planning. Heads were ported, a comp cam and headers and it made 445 RWHP. Not a bad combination. You will love it.

Buddy, go with a 228/228 112 cam and the ported L92 heads and you'll be grinnin' from ear to ear. That thing will scream and still get great gas mileage.

.... well there won't be a roller by early summer but motor is close to complete. Just got my new set of alum. valve covers, oil pump and timing chain/gears in the mail the other day. Rocker arms, stands and bolts should be there in the next week. Gotta get the cam and oil pan on order and should have a mostly complete motor by the first part of May. Will post pics when I get it painted and home.
