BMW wheels on my 69....help!
OK...I searched and founds lots of info! But had some questions. The wheels I like are 18x8.5 and 18.9.5. They come in 20mm offset.
The tires I just picked up are 245/40/18's front and 275/40/18 for the rear. I know I need around 4.75 to 5" bs for the fronts(18x8) and 5.5" for the rear(18x9.5). How close are these in 20mm to that??
Also I rear that I will need the hub centric rings to make it right. Are these going to nned be custom made?? If so who can do it?? Also..do I need to go up to 1/2" studs??? Thanks!

25mm is approximately 1 inch, so 20mm is obviously a little less, my guess here is that the front wheels are very close to the correct backspace. The rears will probably be close , too. The only way to be sure is to study wheel offsets and learn the difference between positive and negative offsets and a zero offset. I'm not sure about the hub rings, I think the ricer crowd would know more about that.

I did some figuring and it looks like I will need about a 1/4" spacer for the rear and nothing for the front. Now just mostly worried about the stud sizing and bolt pattern.

With the numbers you gave, your BS on the front should be 5.54 and the BS on the rear should be 6.04. I run BMW wheels on my 2nd gen and have no problem with the bolt pattern (5 x 120) and the 7/16 studs.
Make sure that you run bulge seat lugs as the standard acorn will not contact enough of the taper. Plus, the hex shape of the lug may gouge the taper. I know Oreilly and Autozone carry the bulge seat lugs in the stores and Summit has some in various colors.
