That's a reminder of how brutal this hobby can be. Its also a testament on the advances in driver and spectator safety...did you see that rally car roll then hop over that spectator?? nuts

It also gives you some idea of how much kinetic energy a car at speed can have. And to think they have brakes that can scrub all the energy off.
I sure wouldn't want to be the rally team that went off the road on the mountain side.

My guess is not many of those drivers lived. I'd bet there are tons of street racing crashes that turn out like that, just never end up on tape. That kind of speed demands respect.

There were a lot of clips in there where the driver was ok. Long dramatic multiple rollover usually dont produce the worst injuries.
The indy car that backs into the pit divider is the kind of impact that can be fatal,although I think in that one he was ok.

Thats wild , I raced for a long time and even thuogh I don't like to see anyone crash I still think its exiciting. That one with Richard Petty happened right in front of my Brother and I at Daytona it was quite a mess!!!
