That's lookin' great! I notice you get your best work done on long weekends and holidays

Pontiac engines are off center to the passenger side from the factory so don't sweat that. Also, the engine can rotate in the sub to bring one side up or down. I had to take advantage of that and prying the engine all the way forward to get my TKO to fit.

I used a different crossmember so I can't help you with yours, but the sub should have two sets of mounting holes I believe.

Wow do I feel dumb. I just went out and tapped the crossmember rearword. You are right! There is 2nd set of mounting holes. Thank you so much, you just saved me a ton of headaches!!!

And yes, you noticed my "work" schedule. My 7 year old daughter plays Soccer and I coach my sons hockey team, so "garage time" is squeezed in when possible.

I snuck a night in the garage last night and made a little progress. The engine is now leveled in the car and the subframe connectors are located. I still need to have them welded in the rear and drill for for the bolt in the front:

...The pics are a little deceiving as they are taken from an under-car angle. They are actually very tight to the bottom of the car. They are almost on the same plane as the subframe. I am very happy with the fitment of them. They are from Global West.

I also got my stacked water/oil gauge pod from GaugeGear. They are made specifically for the '69 Firebird and go in the clock option location. I like 'em!

      Hey Wayne-

      Any news on your car?

I have some length left from the DSE kit, let me go measure it.

Test fit the rear seats (I will be recovering them):

      Installed the rocker covers:

And measured for the wheels (ordering this week):

I will be going with 18x8 with a 4.75 bs up front and a 18x9 with a 3.75 bs out back.

I will be ordering either Budnik Fontana's or Bonspeed Huntington's with black powdercoat center and a brushed fat lip. The rears should have a nice deep dish.

New carpet and the original console are in:

...Seats are in temporarily. They all need to be recovered.

Also replaced the stock throttle pedal, cable, and bracket with Lokar stuff:

...I had the stock stuff installed, the Lokar stuff is a vast improvement.
