      Thanks and ME TOO!!

Headliner just about done (just need to install the rear tack strips), dome light in, windlace and sail panels installed:

Kick panels in (these were a beyotch!):

Next I want to get the dash/electrical buttoned-up then get the quarter window glass in so I can get the quarter area panel covers on.

Looks good Phil! Moving pretty good on it. Phil What paint did you use for above the rear quarter pannel and around the speaker deck looks very correct. Just the right amount of gloss. Wayne

      Hey Wayne-

Yes, I am feeling like I am making good progress lately, but still feeling like cruising this Summer may not be a reality. Lots of driveline stuff to do yet.

I will check with my shop on the paint. They do lots of Camaro work so they knew what to use and I do like how it looks.

Totally finished the headliner and installed the front and rear inner trim (a rediculous amount of time went into the headliner):

Installed the rear qtr window regulators/sliders and the rear arm rests:

I have ordered a smoked glass kit from Frank at Prodigy which should be here this week.

I was originally going to keep the interior totally stock, but I have decided to go with Procar Rally seats:

...as Procar now has a matching rear seat cover avail, so I can keep the interior consistent and do all the work myself (I have already stripped my rear seats down to the springs). The stock seats are just so uncomfortable and I think these will be a great upgrade.

Thanks for the compliments guys. At the moment I am wrestling with recovering the rear seats with material from ProCar to match the Rally front seats and trying to get the qtr window mechanisms and widows squared away (patience required!).

I also discovered, which I am sure most of you already knew, that the '69 rear seat frame bottom is different on a 'Bird than a Camaro due to the 'Birds rear arm rests. So I am TRYING to get the Procar covers to work (they only make them for a Camaro), but I am not sure if I will like the final results or not. I will know this weekend as I am close to having them done. I have a stock 'Bird seat cover as backup, but I would prefer to have my seats match.

As for time frame...I try not to think about that too much and just stay focused on making progress. I was hoping to have it a driving primer car for this summer but time is slipping away.

I ordered my Rick's tank a few weeks ago which should be here in 3-4 weeks (praying), my wheels should be here in less than 2 weeks. I still need to get the dash buttoned-up and focus on final driveline stuff, fuel line, and engine harness.

I am hoping I can be driving in primer by end of Summer, but this may be a bit optomistic. Either way, I want to send it to paint jail next fall/winter when I can't be driving it anyway.

I'll have some more pics of progress this weekend, for those interested.

I haven't uploaded a bunch of new pics that I have, but I have been making progress.

As I mentioned above, I am going with Procar seats (so much for staying with the stock interior! ) and I did not like what I could accomplish myself with the matching Procar rear covers (they really needed to be cut down and re-sewn), so I am having a local upholstery shop do this. I should have them back next week.

My Rick's tank came (only a 2-week wait via Jeg's!) and I have the tank along with their sending unit already installed in the car.

I have ordered my fuel line, pump, fittings, and filter and they arrived today. It should look pretty slick, I am using black braided line with black -AN fittings. I hope to have the fuel line in this weekend.

Still waiting on my wheels from Bonspeed. 6 weeks has turned into 9 weeks and they still aren't here. Bonspeed says they just finished them, but they are waiting on center caps. I should have them at the end of next week (with some luck).

      Pics coming this weekend.

You car is looking great. I am wondering how your rear seat worked out. I plan to order Procar Rally seats this week and want to get the rear seat covers as well unless they are not worth the extra work. My car is a 68 firebird so I guess I would have to have the covers reworked like you did.

      Hi Steve-

I haven't gotten the rear seats back yet, but I should have them by weeks end. I will post pics when I get them.

I still need to post pics of the stainless tank and the mounted fuel pump, but today I got 4 goodies that I just had to get a quick pic of:

...I put the dollar in the picture as that is all I have left!

      More pics soon.

Thats some mean looking rims you got for your car. I held off on ordering the procar seats for a while so no rush on the pictures. I think I will run my stock seats this summer and upgrade them next winter. I want to wait untill I can get a DSE roll bar, 3 point seat belts and the procar seats all at one shot. Keep the pics coming!
