Flowmaster's SEMA black Trans Am?

IMO the interior of the car was one of the nicest at the show. The whole car, with the exception of the rim choice, was a subtle tour-de-force. A black rim would have been a better choice, but that's my 2cent opinion.

What is interesting is I talked with builder Zane Cullen and he was happy with the way it turned out, but not crazy about the car. He said it just wasn't his style, which is understandable since Cullen and the crew at creative concepts tend to do mostly Street Rods. However, I think it was one of the best looking cars at SEMA and I am glad to see someone building that body style to a high level. I am partial to that body style since my first car was a '71 Camaro. Anyway hats off to Zane and the crew for doing something as bitchin as this and is out of their normal realm of cars they build too.

I'd love to see some specs on this car... seats? interior? tire sizes?

I'd liked to have seen the T/A stripe done on the hood/roof/trunk in flat black along with the shaker. And possibly the normally silver parts of the grills done in flat black with chrome trim rings. Just a little too much gloss black going on in the grill area for me.

Those are the only things I'd change on the car if I could buy it.

Agree with the black centered wheels too... something that mimics a honeycomb or snowflake style wheel.

Maybe it's time to put some T/A wheelwell spoilers on my Formula and do a Formula twin of this car? (c:]

Nice TA,clean and sinister! I started drooling as soon as I saw it. I have a real soft spot for those early 2nd Gens. I drove a `70 Firebird with a 455 in high school. Had a `70 RAIII Formula 400 too. Both of those were red but I had a `76 Formula 400/4 speed and `78 TA 455 that were black (as well as 4 others,2 of those Camaros). I called a friend of mine when I got back from SEMA to try and track down a `74 Formula 400 he`d told me about. It`s no `70 but at least it`s still got the flat rear window and sexy B pillars. There is apparantly a great deal of custom metal work in the car. The front radiator shroud panels flow into the hand made inner fenders, and are slick. We have some sic Kustom builders here in little ole Santa Rosa!

I thought the car was one of the coolest at the show, but I wouln't call a radiator shroud and inner fenders "a great deal of custom metal work".

Good point! Sounds like good fabrication to make something work. It would be different if the front fenders were formed over bucks or drastically reshaped.

LOL, yeah that was a lame post w/o pictorial evidence, and my memory is shorter than my pp. Mabey Zane or Dennis could chime in and tell/show all the cool stuff they did make. The pics I saw wern't postable quality. Remember, there is a lot of trick stuff in a lot of these cars that is never seen by the AVERAGE car enthusiest.

I'm not a real big fan of the grills. They look outta place on the car. I do like the rims however. Someone should email Flowmaster and see if they will give us more info on the car...
