      Wheel Sizing Tool

Has anyone ever heard of the wheel mate, sizing tool. I read about a few years ago in a magazine, but can't find any info on it now. You mounted the tire you were going to use on the wheel mate and then bolted to your hub. Then adjust it till everything cleared, and the read the measurment off the wheel mate to tell you what backspacing you would need. Anybody ever hear of this thing or was I dreaming! Thanks

Heres a plastic version from Percy's.

I know there is an aluminum version out there too for considerably more, but don't know who makes it?

Thanks for the reply, but that's not the one I'm talking about. The one I saw you mounted the actual tire you were going to use on it and then bolted everything to the hub.

The Percy's plastic one worked well, not as good as the metal one but then again it's less than 1/5th the price.

It's also better if you don't have the tires. There's a story on it in the December issue of PHR (on stands now).

Cool Steve I'll have to pick up that issue. You don't want to rent your "mount mate" do you, I only need it for a day or so......lol

Does anyone have and want to rent either one? I only need it for a couple of days. Seems silly to buy one...
