C5 door mirror wiring??
I have picked up some C5 mirrors for my car, and I would like to incorporate the functionality of power mirrors into my car. Preference is to also use the OEM type switch to move the mirror, but if that proves to be an issue, and there is a simpler clean way I am all game. Anyone have any insights / details on the wiring for these?

hey man. Got a question about the fitment with the wing windows. Does C5 mirrors clear the window and cover the old holes for the mirror?

I believe so... but the mirrors are not on the car currently. I am out of the country until next weekend, but I will take the camera out and take some pictures if nobody else here has the answer.

I to am interested in doing this. The small street rod mirrors on mine do not work for me. RonRacer put a set of vet mirrors on his RS-X Camaro and they look great.So does the hole car if you have not seen it! Randy

I don't see an answer to the switch question. I am using c5 mirrors on my 69 Camaro. Looks like the stock c5 switch includes window and door lock switches that I don't need. Any ideas?

Add power door locks and windows. Problem solved. 3 birds w/ one stone.

There are many different vehicles using these switches solely for the mirrors. My wife's Equinox uses a very small usable one for your situation. This is something I have thought about for mine. Check a few different cars out to see what fits best w/ your interior, etc. Doesn't even need to be GM parts. You may have a harder timing making them power than you think unless you find a module that can control just the mirror circuit. The C5 vette and all other GM cars use modules to control their mirrors, windows, seats, etc that reverse polarity for each operation. It isn't like they used to be where the switch could do this. I suppose it is possible to make a setup to use an older style switch with a toggle switch so you could reverse polarity that way but it would be more of a pain than just reaching out and moving the mirror with your fingers. It would look cool to see it done but honestly how many people would notice and how often would you adjust the thing.
