      New guy here...

Hello to all... as my name suggests, I have an '83 Hurst/Olds. Basically a stocker at the moment... have a turbo regal 8.5" rear end with 3.73's in it right now ('83 H/O came with a 7.5"), and the original 200-4r rebuilt to take 600 hp or so... planning an Olds 403 build for it starting next summer.

Nothing to brag about in the suspension... got a killer deal on some very slightly used Edelbrock IAS shocks, still has the original springs, 1LE bushings and self-boxed lower arms in the rear...

current plans are to run the street-comp AFX spindle package from SC&C in the front with C5 brakes and Eibach springs all around. not sure on the rear yet...

Here's a picture of the car...

I am a senior in Mech. Engineering at Univ. of Illinois, doing Formula SAE as a senior design project, currently working on finding an interesting job for after graduation in the spring... after school, the budget for fun will increase and this car should see some improvements.

My best friend is also working on a '68 Camaro he is going Pro-touring with, so I spend a lot of time with that as well...

Anyways, that's about it for now, as you'll see me around a bit...

very cool, I've always liked those 'overlooked' late hurst/442 cars, ever since I sat in one at EPCOT center WAY back in the day.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

Definitely! Those pretty much make the car what it is... Kind of want a 5/6 spd G-body, but I would have to do it on another car...
