msd location help

Hey guys,
hope some of you can help me out.I'm building a 72'nova.I'm doing the wiring and I'm having a bear of a time tring to find a good mounting piont for my MSD 6al box.I dont want to mount it under the hood for two reasons.
1) Ive been told the under hood heat is not good for the box.
2) I dont like the look of it mounted to the inner fender or the fire wall,IMO it looks like an after thought and unfinished.

I thought about in the glove box but this car is going to be driven alot and the glove box will be used for things like regestration,insurance card,etc.I wont be using any plug in modules like the two step or soft touch rev limiter.The engine is a 406" small block that dyno'd at 420 hp@5250 and 498ftlbs@3200 ,so the motor is no slouch.I thought about mounting it in the trunk but not real sure as to the lenght of wire and if i need a certain resitence in the wiring.Oh yes the car has the origanal bench seat,not sure if i will put buckets in it or not.The interior has all been redone and not sure if i want to change it out.I like to think of this car as pro-family touring.Any help would be greatly appreciated
