      ATS firewall clutch master bracket

Does the firewall require a little bit of trimming to let the clutch master cylinder pass through? I was of the understanding that it was a straight bolt in, but mine does not line up. It looks like it will need a little trimming.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I don't remember having to trim anything on mine. Mine was on a Nova though.

I had to extend the hole by about 1/8 down and toward the driver's side for the master to mount straight.

Tolerances on these old cars are pretty bad. We try to make a bolt on part that requires no fabrication, but every now and then we get one that needs some minor clearance trimming.

Are you by chance putting in a McLeod master?

No. I had you mod my hydraulics shortly after SEMA. I clearanced the hole a little today with the Dremel and it slid in just fine.
