      Help with St Louis!!!!!!

I'm leaving tomorrow morning to St Louis with the wife, kids, and mother inlaw for a long weekend. Does anyone know of any good places around St Louis to look at car stuff (museums, hot rod shops, etc...). Please help. I'm going to miss my car!!!!!!

      Thanks,
      Jim

There's acouple cool places that sell hot rods down there, the old corvette plant is right off I-70,I drive by and imagine 67 bb vettes driving out of there, the Bigfoot monster truck place is down there.union station has some trains, budweiser plant, the zoo, grants farm, six flags are all must see. the drury inn is a nice place to stay right down town by busch stadium, but with the baseball playoffs I don,t think you get to close to down town.

      PT's!!!!

Naaa!! I wouldn't say that!! All those places Rocket said. Also the science/discovery center by the zoo, Bush stadium would be nice this weekend! The racetrack if they are open this weekend for some drag action. I'm sure there are some speed shops around there somewhere, just look in the phone book when you get there.

Theres a place in Fairmount Il, 5 min out of STL.(just across the river, in Il off of I55) Is an indoor car museum, and they sell everything in there. There is also aplace off of I55 in staunton Il, about 45 mile out of STL. There is the home of Bigfoot off of I270 in Hazelwood MO(which is STL).There is a place I think called Fastlane (I think) in St charles, which is pretty much STL.

      I'm in St. Louis everyday, but it's not by choice, lol. I'd do the brewery tour, or find some nice resturants/bars to go to. But if you really need to see cars;

I catch fastlanecars.com and olddogstreetrods.com both are in the same general area and both have LOTS to see. Fast Lane Cars has a lot of cars and car memorabilia. Olddogsstreetrods has a huge inventory of parts and a pretty impressive spread for a retail/builder shop. Both are on the West/Northwest side of town.

Hmmm, you might be getting confused with Kansas City, BBQ doesn't really that big here, not compared to KC anyways.

My In-Laws are 90 miles west in Bland, MO. Population 529? Nothing to see out that way?lololol. Gravel Roads are fun, unless you like your paintjob, lolol!

Bob Chandler gets my vote as well, Big Foot is the God of Pickups!!!!

And in Bland, MO. All they serve is BBQ!

Take care, and have fun! The gateway to the west!

(just trying to get 100 posts?)

The arch way is Stainless Steel, They fabbed it from both sides and met in the top middle. They had a 1 hour window where they could attach the two sections, otherwise the suns heat would pull and twist the stainless so bad that the ends would not butt together very well. MMMM? Just a Fun fact; I have worked with stainless like many of you, and I know, what a pain in the ass, it would have been, lining that big horseshoe up. OOPPPS, I better get back to the hospital? The wife is gonna spit!

St. Louis, KC, and Memphis are where the *good* BBQs at.Per capita, there's more bbq sauce consumed in ST. Louis than anywhere in the world. I just got back from Texas, and while BBQ was represented in abundance, the good stuff was few and far between.

Come on Mark, be proud! I would be if Cali had decent BBQ.

      St. Louis Trip

You will enjoy Fastlane Classic Cars. If you do anything car related, this is the place to spend your time.
