My travel assistant (read wife) stuck me out at the Orleans. I should have had her check the Flamingo since that's where all the cool guys are.

Since I fractured/damaged 7 vertebrae and 2 ribs . . . Then again; I'm facing 100% recovery and was 'walking' again within 48 hrs (thx to a speciality brace/corset), so it could have been a whole lot worse.
It's now 4 weeks ago but the thing that hurts most is that I have/had to cancel SEMA. I cannot justify (most importantly to myself but also not to the companies I work for) sitting in a plane for 14+ hours, going to a convention, visit the Grand Canyon, visit friends in LA, etc.
Had to get that of my chest.

Thought I was staying at the stardust but its closing Nov 1. So my plans have changed. Now I'm staying at Treasure Island. My wife is very happy about that! Looking forward to the banquet. I will be wearing my Pro-touring shirt @ SEMA if it comes before I leave.
