I would love to get one.
I'm working out details now with a local machine shop for some of the fab work. Let me see how the shop does. The fab work will be approx. 4 – 6 weeks. I’m also working on detailed instructions for the weld in parts and also working on a bolt in kit.

      Riptide progress

Well it has been a while since I have posted any update to Riptide. I spent the last 2 weekends non stop to complete a Corvette IRS install into my 67 Camaro. I'm working on a kit to bolt in C4 rear ends into 67 - 69 Camaro's. I'm building another kit to test on a 69 Camaro at the same time.

Anyway have a look at my progress.

I also installed the WD front sub frame for the first time (It has been sitting in my garage for over a year). I think it is looking just like I want. The tires and wheels are only donors till I'm ready for the new set. I've got a long way to go and a move that will slow things down just a little. I hope in the next few months to replace the quarters, tail section and the roof. I had quite a bit of rust around the drip rails and the dash. Also found accident damage after media blasting. So I decided to replace rather than rework these parts. I will post more when I get further along and will have more pictures on my web site soon.

      More progress

More pics of my progress. Next step is the DSE Tubs and painting the floor. Then replacing the Roof, Qtr panels and tail section.

Test fitting some parts. I'm also attempting to make it easier to move.

      Thanks for the comments!

It's stock width 61" (my original rearend was 60") I couldn't find an easy way to narrow it without modifying the frame rails or changing the 4 link. I started with a Wayne Due kit and modified it so that it could be bolted in rather than welded in. The renderings are with a narrowed rear end. The deapest offset would be the wheels I have on there now. So it will not be as narrowed as the renderings.

Thanks Marty - I have quite a bit to do before I move, so every chance I get (weekends) I'm going to put a little into it.

      Very cool project!!!

It does not look like your ride height is going to match the renderings. Will you be able to get the car to match the drawings?

I agree it will be difficult to get the ride height to the same level as in the rendering, but I'm planning to use air ride in the future. I plan to get the car to look just like the renderings with the exception of the ride height and the rear wheels will not be as deep.

      Thanks for the kind words.....
