I love side pipes and might still do some. I want to run cats and I know that there are some pipes for Cobra kits cars that have cats built in. I'm too far away to make a decison yet on this though.

BTW, I've got a truck arm kit but it's not installed yet. I plan on using a crossover like this Dr. Gas one and sending one banks exhaust to the other side. I'll have cats and plan on using a muffler/resonator after the cats just before the dump in front of the rear wheel.

It says in the article that they are resonators, not cats. The motor in that car is a carb'd 406 small block, so cats probably wouldn't be a good choice.

Although, I have thought about running cats on my motor after it's all dialed in. It would be kind of cool to have a clean running musclecar that can kick some ass.

It would be nice to find something that will work. I will definitely do an x-pipe if I can get it to fit. The problem I see is trying to get the pipes in and back out of the crossover before you get to the front of the truckarms. I guess we'll see what Steve at HTH has to say.

Just some food for thought. I used the truck style band clamps on the exhaust on my Javelin at the header collector (I cut off the flanges) and after the mufflers on the vertical tubes over the axle. This allows me to remove the exhaust under the center of the car in about 10 minutes. I have hangers directly behind the mufflers that I modified so they can unbolt easily. After almost 19000 miles (with the tranny pulled twice) I'm still pleased with the set up.
If it breaks I didn't want it in the first place.

Yeah, I like the street boom tubes also, but at $300 each I cant afford that. Guess I am stuck w/ building my own custom exhaust/tips.

Dr. Gas makes a ball and cone kit, I ended up using it with my pypes x pipe system and I am able to remove the system before the diff when needed and still have a full length system with rear exit. SS
