Congrats Brian and thanks for the plug! I got my copy last week at the airport and it was all I could do to not leak the story all weekend.

I may have to get me a pair of those boots too. I've never found a pair I really liked.

Thanks guys. Ya, Steve and I threw a surprise or two in there(Larry and Marks ink). I will have to wait until next month to see it because of work. Damn this being away from home crap.

It is not much further along than that. I have it back down to the shell so I can do some sheet metal work and start the 3 link.

What is this about boots? I am in the dark there.

It is exciting to get some ink and I hope the car will be nice enough for more when I am done with it. Thanks Steve.

Hey, you sent in a kick ass shot and won... you deserve the prize.. which in this case was a pair of Timberland Boots. You need to email me your size and address

We are scrounging up prizes for each month.. sometimes it's wax, sometimes boots.. might even be a diecast. You never know.

Hometown (to me) is what PHR is all about.. the readers and the "average joes" trying to build a hot rod and actually drive it. I have pushed hard for this section and it keeps getting more space and it also keeps moving towards the front of the magazine.

Also, I have pushed to write longer write-ups on each car instead of two sentences. Most cars have a cool story attached to them and I like writing them. Sorta like "mini features".

Congrats Brian on the ink, the win and for taking the time to send me such a nice shot.

Brian....I forgot to say congrats. I can't wait to see the car completed, should be killer. And another '68 that we '68 owners can be proud of.

To me...thats what a car magazine should be all about. I know a lot of people like the tech articles or the event coverage stories...but as far as I'm concerned, the best part of car magazines is the actual car features themselves. And I love the fact that you are doing what you're doing over there Steve, to push for more "reader's rides" based stories.

Hell...Hometown is the first section I read. Those are my people.

You guys keep saying 68', but it is a 67. Since I cannot see the story I can only guess that it says it is a 68 in there. I will have to check to see what I sent Steve on the year I told him what it was.

I don't remember what I put.. no wind-wings in the pic means I could have screwed up. I will look later today.

I will toss a couple extra issues in with the boots
