      Best used Cars under 6k

I am looking to pick up a nice used car. I need something that is 4 door, 5 speed, I prefer imports over domestic. I want something that is good on gas and dependable. I am a real estate agent so I have to have something look half way decent because I am always hauling people around. Any suggestions on makes and models I should look at ??

Well I have a 97 maxima that now has 141k miles on it, great car, good gas milage, very dependable, good power. Never had a problem out of it. You can pick one up pretty cheap if you look around and I've seen quit a few for sale with over 200k miles on them and a few with over 300k miles on them so that should tell you they will last if you take care of them.

Our realtor drove around in a real clean used Honda Civic. We got one from a private party for 6K that had 70K miles on it. Runs like a little champ!

Maxima all the way. My sister just sold her 98 with 120k miles and a smashed front end for 5,500. The front end was being fixed and was fixed before the person bought the car. However they saw it at the body shop with the smashed front end and still bought the car. Her's was a GLE which is the luxury model. She had only the typical problems with a car that sees mainly highway mileage.

Another option is of course the Accord and Camary. I just think the Maxima has more of a soul. The other two are boring.
