New guy from the midwest....aka frozen tundra right now

I've been drooling on my keyboard looking at a couple cars on here and figured I better sign up and 'get legal'.

I'm Mike, I'm in Nebraska, and it's as cold as eskimo farts here!

I'm currently working on a 65 Malibu SS that belonged to my godfather. He and my father, (who passed in 77), worked on the car together back in the 'good ol days'. There is a long version of this story I might tell another time. But for now, she is mine and she is getting done up as we speak.

Going through the drive-train here in the garage while the chasis is off at the body shop for new quarters, trunk floor, and interior floor panel. Considering air ride but concerned about cost, (can anyone recommend a good kit at a reasonable price?). New tubular A-arms going on with all new body/suspension/etc bushings. The list goes on and on...as I'm sure most of you know.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll be on here a lot for info/suggestions/help as this process moves forward.

Glad to hear someone else is freezing in this crap too...I know it's metric but yesterday we got 17cm of snow (just under 7") and expected to get hammered with anywhere for 15 -30 cm by tomorrow . Not to mention a windchill at -41 ...I can't ever remember a winter being that cold...oh well more time to work on the expensive toys...welcome to pt.com you should start a build thread, tell your story of the car and the build up

Welcome! We are all in the Frozen Tundra. It is warmer in Anchoridge Alaska than it is in Tampa today.
