      Newbie

      Gday from Melbourne, Australia.

I have been a regular visitor to this site over the past few years, got drawn here by the write up on Paul Edwards' remarkable 1970 Camaro.

I am the owner of a 1970 Camaro myself.

I will post pictures shortly. The car is a streeter, with a GENVI 540ci big block chev, Vortech V7 blower, EFI, etc etc. The car has so far managed a 10.03 at 139mph, on a fairly crappy track down here. Not bad for a car that weighs about 3960lb with me in it!!

      Anyway, this site is awesome!

Well I got the car out on the weekend - gave it a polish and the paint is not as bad as what I thought it was. Definitely not show condition, but it looks ok.

Took it to a show here in Melbourne.

It sure is "odd" seeing the steering wheel on the "wrong side" As I understand, Australia requires that a car be converted to right hand drive before you can drive it. I don't imagine this is easy or inexpensive.
At least it would make passing on a two lane highway less eventfull

If there is a hard way to do something, I'll find it!
My other car is a Vega.

actually, depends what state you are in regarding conversion. here in victoria if the car is more than 30 years old you don't need to convert.
