      Procharger vs Vortex

      The only customers I selll Vortechs to is the mod motor mustang crowd that does not want to blow the guts out of their motor (they are only good for 450HP), so they buy Vortechs, LOL!

      And self contained it the way to go, period.

      well - if i can find a procharger for under $5500 i might consider buying it... for that much money i'll make a damn system myself and it be cheaper

      Dudes look at the low end torque #'s. night and day. on a stock ls2 it (magnacharger)

      can make like 750 ft.pounds at 2,000. I'll take power where I can feel it

      anyday...

      Procharger all the way.... Before my ride went to paint, I got to enjoy the Procharger for a little bit, and its definitely worth the money...

      Got a link? I question that number, a centrifugal isn't making much (if any) boost at 2000rpm unless it is WAY over-pullied to inflate the low end numbers then chances are you'll be overspeeding it as engine RPM's increase.

      http://www.magnacharger.com/images/l...no/dyno007.gif these numbers are with a 364 ci vette base model. 500p.ft. at like 2,200. Now a z06 is 427ci and 500 hp stock. There's an ad in one of the rodder books that has a yellow vette look for it under the magnachareger ad. I didn't believe it could be done either...
