      C6 Z Corvair (chop)

      How about this? C6 Z06 drivetrain and suspension. Stretched the wheelbase forward about 5"

      cool...but how? Where would the engine sit so you could connect it to the transaxle?

      Well you may wana give it a bit more thought than that, also aside from width, the brakes, i believe some gusseting in the spindles, bolt pattern, and some coolers c6z suspension is the same as a c5 which is no doubt cheaper so id start there.

      With all the work that would be needed you may as well start with a hollowed out shell and build it up from there...

      Looks good. Try raising the wheel openings and inch or so and ever so slightly flare the openings.
      I've seen a few Corvairs that have been dropped onto '80s A/G chassis. They even use the A/G firewall and floor.

      Speaking of power to weight ratio, I've been kicking around the idea of stripping down a mini and making a full frame to house the suspension, motor, & trans off of a STI or Evo8. I think it could be one hellofa daily driver...
