Easiest, most complete 1st gen kit?

Hey gang,

I've got a good buddy with a 69 he's rebuilding, and I'm trying to point him in more of a corner-carving direction with the car...helping him see the light, if you will. He's looking at swapping from 4 wheel drums to a disc brake kit, but he's doing it himself and is, although relatively proficient, far from a master with a set of wrenches. He asked me to help him look for different brake kits for his car, and so I want to help him find what would be the quickest, most painless, most fab-free swap. Something he can just unbolt and bolt in. It's not gonna see any track time, so some performance can be sacrificed for ease of installation, and the car will be regularly driven, so a parking brake is a must.

Can you guys help point me in the right direction?

as far as the fronts you could go with a "stock" setup for a 69

i know there has been alot of discussion about ls1 rear kits

i had also thougth about a 2000 s-10 rear setup (it should bolt on)
cant guarantee that for sure

I personally think Touring Classsics has the most bang for the buck. Same calipers as the Baer kit, for $700+ less F&R. Great install instructions and support via phone too. -eric

If you know where to shop the Baer kit is about the same price as Touring Classics plus you get new hubs.

Can you give us an idea on where to shop? I've been shopping the Baer kits for my 69 Nova and can't find prices like that. Any suppliers/distributors would be helpful. Thanks, Don
