      Resize pic for mag

Hey guys, just wondering how to resize some of my photos for sending them in to magazines. I don't know if all of the magazines use the same DPI or sizing, but I know Chevy Hi performance goes with 300dpi at 5x7. Anyone know how to resize them without having extra software or can I use my Kodak software or Microsoft? Or if none of these softwares have the option, could anyone resize them for me? Thanks!

You can google "online image resizing" and get a bunch of links to online utilities that will do it free.

      Here is one.

      DON'T DO IT!!!!!!! lol

We like the pics as big as we can get them.. sometimes I want to run a pic I get big but I can't because the darn things are too small.

But, if you have to then 300dpi is what every magazine needs and keep the image size at the MINIMUM 6-inches wide preferably 8-inches

I am online now with image resizer and they want me to give them a size in px's. I assume pixels, but I don't know what size to resize it to. The final product needs to be a 5x7 at 300 dpi. Any help????

dpi is Dots (pixels) Per Inch, so 5x7 would be 1500x2100 (give or take, don't tweak the proportion between width and height)
