      '68 Camaro LS7 project

I been around this site for a while, and I guess it's time that I show everybody the project that I have going. Like the title says it's a '68 Camaro and I have an LS7 going into it. The rest of the dirvetrain consists of a T56 and a 9 inch Ford with 3.50 gears and a TrueTrac. The car has had a DSE 4 link installed, and the front suspension will soon be a 21st Century C5 subframe. I just got the sub over the weekend, so no pics yet. The car is currently still having bodywork done, but hopefully it'll be coming home soon so I can start wrenching on it again. Anyway, here's lots of pics of how the project has progressed thus far:

We bought the car from a guy in Wilmington, CA (right by Long Beach), who, as it turns out, had done some really shoddy bodywork to it. For example, I don't think that 3 spot welds and bondo is an acceptable way to put on a new trunk pan. At least, we got the car before he painted it and really ripped somebody off.

      New car at home:

The 327/210 HP, this was hooked to a Powerglide that shifted a little on the 'firm' side:

Original interior, not in great shape:

Here's the original CA black plate, nice loose muffler and rag 'gas cap.' It had '94 tags on it, so I assume it hadn't been on the road since at least then, as I'm not totally sure, but I don't think it needed to pass smog to be registered. This is a 4 owner car. The first had it until 1976 when he sold the car to his nephew who owned it until shortly before the car came to Arizona.

Then, the LS7 arrived. We were among the first to get the motor in crate form:

Next we stripped the car down to get it ready for the bodyshop. For all the problems this car had, it did have really solid floors:

      Pulling the old 327:
