Anyone ever run radial drags?

Im i a bit of a quandry. I cant decide if I want to run drag tires on the rear. Ive bought 245 40 fuzions for the front and either want to run the same on the rear or some sort of drag radial like the 555r


How well does this work out for a hard driven streeet car

The drag radial should be fine. They'll just wear out a little faster.

The drag radials work just great on the street. Just stay out of water. They will wear out around 15k miles or less with "spirited" driving regularly.

I run the nitto drag radials on the back and they work great, but like was previously stated "watch out for the rain".

I ran the BFG Drag Radials on my Camaro when I had 15's on it. They worked great on the street especially after they got warm. In the rain is another story though.... But really why have drag radials in the rain....

I do not know how long they last, but the Mickey Thompson radials are so fast they are illegal.

I've gone through like 4 pairs of nitto 555r on my cars and i swear by them, On my street car they lasted right about 15k but that's with spirited driving and ocasional autocross. On the 99 Camaro I thought that the D.R.'s did better in the rain than the goodyears, kumhos, or sumitomos I've had, I did notice a that it hydroplaned a lot easier with the 315's over the 275's though. Plus the nittos are alot cheaper than some of the other tires out there, so you can justify them wearing out quicker.

I ran drag radials on the back of my '96 for about a month once, and it wasn't bad in the rain at all. When it got cold on the other hand......

I've used both nitto and bfg drag radials. the bfg's seemed to work better for me. I got a 1.72 60' on the bfg's but they wear quicker than the nitto's. either way they were fine for extended street use.
