Convert a Chevy 400 from auto to manual.

How would you convert a 400 Chevy (externally balanced) from a flexplate to an flywheel without disassembaling a re-balancing the motor?

Use an externally balanced flywheel. For example:

      400 and 454 different

Allthough the 400 and 454 use externally balanced flywheels and balancers.
You need to know that they look identical but they are off in weight by enough to cause a problem with balance.
My advice is to make absolutly 100% that you have the 400 flywheel =)
