If and when I go into the performance part business as we plan to, we'll follow the same model and offer cool wheels, made in china fairly priced.

And I will pay more to get the non chinese parts from your competition.

I will not buy PRC parts for my car ever, and I am not alone.

Im sure not, there's plenty of people out there that like stuff made in the usa. Sadly, the costs involved keep parts out of reach for the average or entry level enthusiasts. And truely thats where the money is. Just a fact of business in this day and age im afraid.

I agree, but I have made the choice to not buy rather than buy the PRC stuff.

Taiwan is a politically much less objectionable supplier, have you checked into sourcing from there?

I too am thinking of buying the Coy's (grey centers that I will paint satin black).

My only issue is that they do not make a 5" BS 18x* wheel only a 4.75".

I guess I will have to call them.

Anyone ever run a 4.75" front?

      brickyard, I see where they make a 4.5, 5, 5.5 b.s in 18" depending on the width. I don't see any 4.75 in 18".

For those of you that have purchased a set of COYS or are going to order a set, which style of the c-5's are you going with? Polished, chrome, or the grey centers? just curious. Just taking a quick look at the gallery on the COYS website, IMO I think the chrome version look kinda odd, I like the polished versions myself, also love the grey centers on the correct colored car, maybe black or silver. late.

For those who have the chrome C-5's how do you like them? Same question for those with the polished versions?
Anyone running 18x8 fronts and 20x8.5 rears on a 69 camaro? Pics? I think I am going to go with this setup.

      weird......anyway

i have polishes c-5's.....n those look very very dull in dark places.....not like weld wheels how they still have a shimmer when its darker....... but if u let the light hit those COys...omg..... the look like chrome...... i have seen the chrome c5s in person (kinda upset me beacuse i thought i was gonna be the only one with those wheels in my area) an those are very very bright......

Its the shortening of the words he's talking about the N instead of "and" and the u instead of "you". Plus we like to use punctuation around here too. you cant be bothered with typing out a three letter word, but you can type six periods in a row instead of one? He's just asking you to use proper spelling and grammer, it's in the rules.

Not to get into heated debate but? I have to agree with the made in China deal in regards to shopping elsewhere. The problem with Americans is we do not care who we do business with if the price is dirt cheap. I guess they do not realize the US made prices are higher for the exact same reason. Does China make some good products? Yes, I guess so but I would rather spend a little more knowing it was made with quailty US hands.

The China quick sell products are the biggest problem we have today with the trade industry. Didn't Edelbrock have huge problems with the copies of their manifolds? Greed is the sole motive. Take a US made product, bring it over to China and have them bid to copy 95% of it and sell it to compete against the US counterpart. Not always, but there may be quality control reasons they cost more here. I do believe the Boyd confusion was they were marketed as Boyd wheels on Ebay when they first hit our shores.

Buy American as the job you save might be your own!!! Also last I checked we are at war and need the cash flow. Although the parts might be made in the USA but the accounting dept will be in India. Just my 2 cents.

I just ordered a set of the grey ones for my black 69 Camaro.

I may paint the centers satin black if I don'tlike the grey.

      18x9.5 and 18x7

Jim was great to deal with and the price was what I could afford.

I will mount Nitto 555s on them.

Brickyard I think those wheels are going to look sweet on your black car. I think I am going to paint mine orange, but haven't totally commited to that color yet. Anyone else like or dislike there chrome c-5's? Still trying to decide whether to go chrome or polished on my 69. thanks
