      Question on setting brake bias

I found some good information doing a search but not exactly what I am looking for.
I just finished installing C5 rotors and calipers on the front of my Monte Carlo SS and Baer 11" rotors on the rear & I installed an adjustable proportioning valve inline to the rear brakes.
What I am looking for is any general advice on how to go about setting the rear brakes. I do need to "season the pads first so should I wait until I have some easy miles and braking on the system to make adjustments? Will adjusting the rears require pushing the system to the limits and forcing lockup and then just back down the rears until the fronts lock first?
Any advice with this is appreciated.

Exactly correct fine sir hard braking to lockup adjust so that fronts lock first

You DO NOT want the rears locking first especially in a pannic stop or rain or you will be facing the wrong direction in a hurry and and if your lucky all you will need is a new set of shorts.

EDIT you could start by taking a lot of rear out and season the pads but that isnt much time on them whatsoever.

      Season Pads?

How would you recommend doing this? I have heard different opinions. Don't you do several hard stops until you start to experience some brake fade?

I don't know the proper procedure, but I will need to know for when I get my car ready to drive.

      Just wanting clarification,
      Joe

Joe there is an article about doing this over at stoptech.com. I don't drive race cars though and find there process a little over the top. Chris
