      I had stopped checking too

Nice job Mark. The site came out great. I just navigated through mostly all of it. Hey, look, there's my car!

I knew it was coming but had not checked in awhile. Thanks for the heads up Steve.

As much as I love working on cars, I would never attempt to install that system myself. I would hire someone to do it for me. Looks awesome...but way beyond my capabilities.

How does that compare to DS&E's Quadra-Link?

Man, I agree. It is, of course, an incredible suspension setup, but I'm glad I wasn't planning on going with it, because seeing the install on their site would have scared me away.

According to everyone I talk to (including LD), it takes any four link on the market out behind the barn and puts it out of its misery . I'm planning on a four link setup for my car, but mine is much more street-strip oriented than their target, I think.

Personally, I don't see that it's much more (if any more) difficult to install than a DSE Quadra-Link.. both require quite a bit of cutting and welding.

Tell you what. I will install one over the weekend and let ya know how tough it really is

This isn't for a story.. it's because I want the best system and this was it.. I'm shelling out $$$$ just like everyone else - when an editor actually PAYS for parts that should tell you something about them..lol

However, I will review how hard it is to do.. and photo document the deal.

I have gone over the proceedures and its a bit harder than weld in DSE subframe connectors and easier than mini-tubs..

I completley agree. This is not a difficult system to install. The advanced suspension design looks intimidating, but when you remove the awe that this system brings to the table and just focus on the install portion it becomse very simple. The main install is trimming the sheetmetal for the forward crossmember (very similar to the DSE weld in SFC in this respect) and welding in the rear cross brace between the frame rails.

Cut-off wheel, grinder, welder, jack stands, and some determination is about all you'd need for this one.

Just so no one misunderstands me....my original response about the system appearing too hard for me to install was in no way meant as an indictment of Lateral Dynamics and the 3-link system. I was merely pointing out how all the requirements had overwhelmed a "guy like me". Nothing more. Am I the norm? Absolutely not. Certainly most of you on this site could fabricate circles around me. And with that....this system should be a piece of cake to install. As I stated before, it looks like an awesome system. And it is.

Hey, thanks for all of the comments, guys, glad you like the new digs. We worked pretty hard on it all, it is really difficult to juggle everything associated with a start up business and this detail took a lot longer than we had hoped. I am super happy with the outcome though, Scott Gulbranson from Lateral-G pulled it all together, and did a fantastic job. We can't thank him enough, highly recommended for any similar job. He flat rocks out!

Thanks also for the comments on the install, etc. We know fully well that this setup isn't going to be for everyone, but we chose our compromises with our eyes open. I'll agree with Tito, this setup really isn't terribly difficult to install, we did as much as we could to ease the pain. He hit it on the head when he pointed out that the setup looks intimidating, but the only real difficulty is installing the crossmembers, and this is no more difficult than installing a set of through-floor subframe connectors, a mini-tub job, etc. For folks that aren't interested in installing the setup on their own, we are establishing a network of dealer/installers to go to, it's a careful selection process, not just anyone qualifies. So far, we have coverage in Southern Cal, the Bay area, Phoenix, Las Vegas, New England, San Antonio, Florida, and a few other potentials in the Midwest.

Gotta run, guys, thanks again. There's this small window of opportunity at our good friends shop, Best of Show Coachworks, where we are going to install a setup on a really nice 68 Camaro. It's copper in color (the car, not the 3-Link...)
